My Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) sessions

What should I expect from an RTT session with Petra?

Much like my regular therapy sessions, I go back into my clients past to find when current beliefs and behaviours were formed. Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) utilises hypnotherapy to quickly uncover when my clients current negative beliefs and behaviours were formed. It then utilises the neuroplasticity of the brain to enable the creation of new neural pathways to install new positive beliefs of their choosing. RTT can replace many on-going conventional therapy sessions, as during hypnotherapy my clients can access the subconscious mind to discover when beliefs and behaviours were formed. Before an actual hypnotherapy session, I will discuss my clients current issues and talk about what outcomes they would like to achieve. We discuss what new beliefs they would like to have and what goals they would like to achieve. During the actual hypnotherapy session my client will be put under hypnosis to let their subconscious mind look for events that link to their current issues. They will be able to identify when unhelpful beliefs and behaviours were formed in their past. Clients will be able to understand how past events affect them now and that they now have a choice not to let the past affect the present. Past beliefs and behaviours may have had a purpose in the past, but they may no longer be necessary. Often negative beliefs, values, habits and emotions have been so deeply buried in your subconscious that you are unaware of the past issues that are affecting you now. RTT allows the mind to make connections between past events and current issues to uncover the cause of those negative beliefs and behaviours. You can then reframe the way you look at the past from your adult perspective today. Once that has been achieved you can then choose not to have those beliefs and behaviours in your life and install new, positive beliefs. For example, if the only pleasure you had as child was to eat, your subconscious mind may now believe that the only way to get pleasure is to eat. Once you discover this link, you can tell your mind that eating is not the only way you can get pleasure. You can reprogram your mind to not associate pleasure only with eating. Hypnosis is nothing to be afraid of. During the session I will help you reach a deeply relaxed state to enable you to focus on past events. You will always remain in full control. You cannot be made to do things that you don’t want to do. When going back into your childhood, it will be like viewing your childhood on a TV screen, like viewing it as an observer. You will not be reliving your childhood, you are essentially viewing parts of your childhood to work out what the triggers are for your current issues. The RTT session will be reinforced with a personalised audio meditation that I will record for you to listen to for 21-30 days to establish beneficial change going forward. The recording is like the last portion of your hypnotherapy session where your new beliefs are installed. Listening to the recording is like a mini meditation session to reinforce the installation those new beliefs.

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) originally developed by Marissa Peer, is a combination of the most valuable aspects of Hypnotherapy, Neurolinguistics Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychotherapy. By communicating directly with your unconscious mind, RTT enables you to uncover the meaning and interpretation attached to events. RTT rewires into your unconscious healthier and more beneficial beliefs and patterns. We know that habits of action are caused by habits of thought. By changing the thinking behind your actions, you are free to change your behavior.

Q. I am concerned about being hypnotised. Am I still in full control of the situation? A. You are in full control at all times. Everything you do during a session is by your own choice. Q. I am worried about not being able to “come out” of the hypnosis. What if my session is via Zoom and the internet connection is lost? A. It is actually harder to stay under hypnosis than it is to come out of hypnosis. Typically any distractions, such as the internet call suddenly stopping, will make you come out of hypnosis naturally. Q. I am worried about going back into my childhood as it was quite traumatic and I am worried that it might trigger a bad response. A. When going back into your childhood, it will be like viewing your childhood on a TV screen, like viewing it as an observer. You will not be reliving your childhood, you are essentially viewing parts of your childhood to work out what the triggers are for your current issues.
